SEPTEMBER 5 F-F-F-FUN

5 Things I Learned About My Camera Today

 1.  I printed the "Information Displayed on the Screen" page of the manual.  There are 43 information icons.  My goal is to figure out which of them are "necessary" and which are "nice to have" and go with "necessary"-e.g. "Do I need to know this to accomplish what I'm trying to accomplish?"

2.  Today I continued with the Instruction Manual and am now at pp.46/220.  Tomorrow I think I'll start with the information icon list and go to the page indicated and see if it's necessary or nice.  It might speed things up.

3.  I found out about "exposure bias" from the internet and removed it from the Aperture Value (f-stop) setting.  It was something I accidentally bumped on a couple of days ago and not in the instruction manual.  I hope it was the cause of the no-go for this setting and will experiment more tomorrow.

4.  I need to be careful.  The steep learning curve for this camera could bite in to the time meant for other activities!

5.  Ergo, I give myself permission to learn absolutely nothing on any given day, and just go out and take some dang pictures!  My pleasure is in the picture part, not the technology part.

One of Ron's many ingenious projects.
