What I Learned About Photography Today
The Exposure Triangle from www.photographycourse.net
1. Exposure is an umbrella term for controlling the lightness or darkness of a photo.
2. There are 3 elements that work together in exposure: ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed
3. ISO: How sensitive the light sensor is.
4. Aperture: How large the lens opening is.
5. Shutter speed: How long the shutter is open when you press the shutter release button.
6. These 3 elements have a relationship. They're the 3 legs of a 3-legged stool. Each leg affects the other two legs. Learning how they interact is fundamental to going past the auto setting on a camera.
