Our day started with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV
Our breakfast menu was a delicious omelette called My Big Fat Greek Omelette with spinach and feta cheese, courtesy allrecipes.com, along with hash browns, coffee and orange juice.
The weather is beautiful today, so we took Maggie, Gypsy and the neighbors dog Madison on walk in the forest.
Next, some football while Thanksgiving dinner cooks.
"DETROIT (AP) — Houston hopes to take a step toward wrapping up the NFL's first playoff berth of the season with a win against the Lions in the annual Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit. The 9-1 Texans would then need a number of teams to lose or tie before the weekend is done in order to clinch a second straight post-season berth." (Houston won 34-31.)
This year Ron and I decided to eat in, with Safeway doing the catering.
The side dishes come in a box, with the turkey separate. Since no vegetables were included, I made a 7-layer salad.
The table, the plate, the dessert. Pumpkin pie came with the dinner; we added a sugar-free apple pie for me, as well as ice cream for dessert. We're full to bursting, as Thanksgiving deserves!
Ron and I are thankful this year for our bounty and good fortune.
We wish all of our friends and family a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
