Flagstaff in Fall
November Night
Listen. .
With faint dry sound,
Like steps of passing ghosts,
The leaves, frost-crisp'd, break from the trees
And fall.
By Adelaide Crapsey 1878–1914
You may recall a similar photo taken in August for my first post. This is the fall version.
Flagstaff in fall is quintessential. The days are in the 60's, sunny with brilliant blue skies. The nights dip into the 20's and 30's, nipping the green and turning it into the colors of fall.
The yellow changing aspen are the most accessible;
The leaves of aspen,
maple,
and oak each add their hue.
Ron went hiking in Pumphouse Wash, a major tributary to Oak Creek, and found these stunning reds and oranges.
We're grateful to live in this gorgeous four-season part of Arizona
